Ordered Item(s): Pastrami Sandwich on Rye (No mustard) & Pastrami Sandwich on a hero with cheese and mustard, price $61.46

Quality of ingredients: Very good

Taste: A must try 8.9 out of 10

Service: Normal

Environment: Always crowded, especially during weekends with huge lines with 30+ minute wait in line, I went on a weekday lunch time and I waited 15 minutes in line.

Consistency: Their taste never changes, at least from my experience throughout 10 years. I have been going a few times every time I get friends who wants to go try their famous pastrami sandwich.

Comments: It’s one of the many places that you have to visit if you are visiting New York City, this place is best known for their pastrami sandwich, a lot of famous people been this place and its always crowded, their pastrami is definitely something else, special from other places, not to mention they give huge amount of meat in it. Once you get in, they will hand out tickets (to write the orders and pay at the end, basically your bill, make sure to not lose it), there are 8 lines once you get in, you gotta choose the line and make sure to always have extra cash to tip the butcher (sandwich maker), they will slice 2 pieces of pastrami so you can try it, you can ask for other meat as well as corned beef. Once your order is ready, you gotta find an empty seat and table (shared). For drinks, there’s a different line, which is located in the middle right next to the order line. Since it’s almost self-service beside the sandwich prep, you do not need to tip at the end, but it’s always nice to leave some.
