133-30 39th Ave, Flushing, NY 11354
Ordered Item(s): Dimsum: Shrimp Dumplings, Pork Tripes, Pork Ribs, Chicken Feet, Prawn and Chives Vegetable Dumplings, Pork Buns, Pork Shumai, Shrimp Rice Rolls, Youtiao Rice Rolls, Fried Pork Buns, Pineapple Bread & Egg Tarts.
Price: around $90 with tip included (unfortunately my friend wouldn’t let me treat so they paid and lied or not they said around $30 per person).
Service: Pretty good.
Quality of ingredients: Normal.
Taste: 7.5/10.
Environment: It was crowded because we went there at a peak time where everyone eats dimsum at that specific time (10am ~ 11am) but we did not wait in line. Side note they have their own valet parking so if you are coming with your car, it is pretty convenient.
Comments: I can’t say it was my best dim sum place ever, the dumplings were tearing apart cause it was very sticky, and sticked to each other, flavorwise was good but some were slightly in the dryer side, this is all based on my past memories with dim sum (Manhattan china town), although they have a michelin mention you would not miss anything out of the ordinary. Their rice rolls were just good, slightly on the thicker side so if you like big chunks this is for you. I did not like that two of the dumpling dishes fell apart while trying to grab one, their shrimp dumpling and the prawn and chives dumplings, it kinda make me sad for me to not able to experience the “I will bite you nicely and get amazed by the harmony of balanced flavors along with their ingredients” bummer. Their fried pork bao buns were also not as good as the ones I posted prior to this one. And the pork steamed buns were not the best, it was mid, I believe their pork had that musky distinctive flavor when you do not prepare it right or when it’s not fresh. Their egg tart was not as sweet as compared to an actual custard egg tart, and the custard was very jello texture. Overall I do not know how this dim sum place got a Michelin mention, in my opinion.
Consistency: First time here for dimsum.
